Small. buisnesses and farmers

1.before, struggled because of large department stores

after, Nazis banned new department stores and closed down competing jewish buisnesses. Though the number of skilled tradesmen fell the value of the trade nearly doubled.

nazis wrote of farm debts and increased food prices

though this benefited the farmers they resented government meddling

there was a shortage of labour on farms got they got jobs in the city

big buisnesses

These benefitted from the abolishment of trade unions and the rearmement program

The value of german industry rose (an so did the managers salaries)

But the government controlled, wages, prices, profits, imports and who got raw materials

They told industry what to produce

Unskilled workers

bulk of unemployed. Nazis started ork schemes, they were hard labour and badly paid and workers did not get their unemployment benefit if they didnt join.

However, councils built cheap flats so poor could feed hpuse and cloth their families.

Nazis fromes German workers front (daf) run by robert ley. replaced trade unions and all employers had to join it. It was to stop arguments between employers and control workers. within organisations were set up to gain the support of the workers (the beauty of labour a campaign to improve working conditions in factories, strength through joy workers were rewarded with organised leisure time e.g. holidays)

Wokers built autobahns public buildings etc.

The reich labour service made all 16-25 year olds do 6 moths or labour, unpopular beacuse poorly paid, hard labour and every minute was controlled. The Nazis tried to indoctrinate people using this.
