CHOOSE PENCIL:

• used to draw lines both straight and curved
• hard to draw using mouse

CHOOSE BRUSH:

• hard to use mouse on screen and some professional artists prefer to use an alternative input device such as a light pen (where they draw directly onto the screen) or a graphics tablet

CHOOSE AIRBRUSH TOOL:

• soft edge stroke similar to one use a can of spray paint
• longer leave an airbrush tool in one position the greater the build up of paint on that area

SHADE:

• make pictures realistic, make stand out

• line tool draw straight lines on the canvas
• can alter the thickness
• automatically drawn between the two points

MORPHING:

• special effect where one image changes into another
• need two images for morphing: image start with and image end up with

WARPING:

• changing position of pixels in an image

APPLYING FILTERS:

• apply an effect to an image or part of an image

Cropping an image:

• hiding part of the image
