SLT: Bandura research

?

Bandura study

  • Children observed an adult behaving very agressively towards a bobo doll.
  • The children then got the chance to play with the bobo doll.
  • They behaved very agressively towards the bobo doll, just like the adult.
  • This suggests that the younger children modelled the adult and imitated their behaviour.
  • Furthermore different versions of the experiment also shows that when a women is obseved by female children whilst hitting the bobo doll then agression will increase.
  • This suggests that children identify more with their own gender.
