ability is an innate quality that we have, skill is something that you learn and devolp over a period of time,

Skill - something that is learned to bring about a certain outcome with the least amount of time and energy or both

Ability - inherited innate stable trades that determines a persons potential to require skills

MOTOR ABILITY - innate and inherited traits that  determines and individuals coordination , speed of reaction , abbility , balance

PERCEPTUAL ABILITY - realted to the process of receiving recognising on organising information from our senses. Theese include

Types of Skill

as a person we need to look at our envirometn and then select a response (skill)

COGNITIVE SKILL  - the use of the brain to reason and problem solve which is based on your experience and what you have learned

PERCEPTUAL - selecting and interpreting the information we see , this is how we select and organise information we gain from our senses. devolps with practice ]

PHSYCO-MOTOR SKILL - physical movements contrikked by the brain towards a pre-determind goal or objective

catergorising or placing something in a class or group , 4 factors that skill is concerned with is

1 how much the performance of the skill is affected by the enviroment, (open or closed)

2 how much control the person has over the rate and timing of the action (self-paced or externally paced )

3 the level of precision or fine control that the performer uses (fine or gross)

4 weather it is possible to assume the skill has a beginning or end (serial or dicrete or continous )
