light waves are a special type of wave but they do not need water or air to travel through. they are called electromagnetic waves.
transmitted-to pass through the object
absorbed- to stay inside the object
reflected- to bounce back off the object
a small light source produces a sharp shadow called umbra.
a large light source produces an image with fuzzy edges-it is an umbra and penumbra.
the law of reflection is that the reflective angle is always the same as the indence.
