What happened in 1846 and 1847?

Food Crisises

This caused many people living in rural areas, which were already overcrowded, to urban towns in hopes of finding jobs.

A rise in unemployment, sickness, and urban poverty upset many of the people and they lost faith in their current rulers in what they could do to improve the situation.

Because people were losing their jobs, purchasing power decreased and people couldn't buy industrial goods causing even more unemployment.
