Terminology

Leisure - this is the free time in our lives to do activities we choose not compulsory activities like chores.

Sport: physical activity that a person may take part in or watch.

Morality in sport: moral issues within sport that have more than one answer.

Sponsorship: can be when an individual Is paid to wear a companies promotion. It's an advertising tool.

PEDs': are substances usually things like steroids which some people in sport take to improve their performance.

Misuse of leisure time: misuse of leisure time is where one person's leisure activity is not used in a purpose full way and might be bad to another.

Christianity's teachings

"Your body is a temple of the Holy Spirit" - treat your boy well through careful living and exercise. Do not damage the body with illegal substances.

Parable of the rich fool - man who spent his whole time working to gain wealth and possessions. He finally stopped and thought he could enjoy them all, but he died soon after - do not forget to enjoy leisure time before its too late. Life is not just for earning money.

"Do not get drunk on wine, which leads to debauchery" - use leisure time sensibly

In all you do, honour God - do not get involved in cheating gambling and poor choices.

Islam's teachings

1) "Teach your sons the art of swimming, sharp shooting and horseback riding" - encourage believers to be sporty as it shows care for the body.

2)"Believers, wine and game of chance, idols and divining arrows, are abominations devised by Satan" -don't drink, gamble, worship sports people like Gods or try to foretell the future - all bad.
