  • the idea that the soul lives on after the death of the body, God then judges the sould and decided upon the palace it'll go

near-death experience

  • when someone about to die has an out-of-body experience
  • this has been tested by a group of nurses who places letters on high shelves to see if the patients were lying. some of the patients saw the letters (without being asked) - this cannot be explained scienfitically

non-voluntary euthanasia

  • ending someones life painlessly when they are unable to ask, but you have good reason for thinking they would want you to

  • unexplained things which are though to be spiritual causes,
  • for example: ghosts, mediums, near-death experiences (which some poeple believe as evidence of life after death and others have sciencific explanantion)

quality of life

  • the idea that life must have some benfits for it to be woth living

  • the belief that, after death, sould are reborn in a new body

  • the evangelical belief that, after death, the body stays in the grave until the end of the world when it is raised for judgement day, but is unaware of time passing
  • judgment day is the day which determines whether you go theaven or hell
  • an exmples of this would be the physical resserection of Jesus

  • the belief that life is holy and a gift from God

voluntary euthanasia

  • ending life painlessly when someone in great pain asks for death
