Richer people who live in MEDC's can afford to have their homes made earthquake proof.
This can be done by:
- Shock absorbers
- Cross-bracing
- Computer controlled movable weights. These can move to make the building sway the opposite way, to keep it stable.
- Automatic shutters to prevent windows from shattering
