• Sometimes written+form set rules = govern behaviour
• Sometimes not written - still generally accepted
• definition = "deviation from unwritten rules about how one 'ought' to 'behave'."
• abnormal behaviour = anti-social personality disorder = impulsiveness + aggressiveness = fail to meet generally accepted moral + ethical norms
