Role:

Role:

Provide support and equipment for people who have difficulties carrying out everyday tasks

Responsibilities:

  • Advise on home alterations e.g handrails
  • Advise on specialist equipment to help with daily activities
  • Develop a rehabilitation programme to help rebuild lost skills and restore confidence

Youth worker

Roles:

Guide and support young people in their personal, social and educational development to help them reach their full potential

Responsibilities:

  • Deliver programmes related to areas such as smoking, drugs, relationships and bullying
  • Work in partnership with professionals from other organisation such as teachers and police
  • Identify and pursue sources of funding for projects to improve services/resources for young people

Mental health nurse

Role:

Provide support in recovery for people suffering from various mental health conditions

Responsibilities:

  • Ensure the correct administration of medicine and monitor the results of treatment
  • Prepare one-to-one therapy sessions to assess and talk to patients about their problems
  • Provide CBT
  • Organise social events aimed at developing patients social skills and helping to reduce feelings of isolation
  • Work with patients' families helping to educate them about their mental health problems
  • Apply 'de-escalation' techniques to help people manage their behaviour

Role:

Provide support and care for children

  • Assess, observe and report on the condition of patients
  • Prepare children for operations and procedures
  • Administer drugs and injections

Responsibilties:

Develop and review treatment programmes that encourage exercise and movement e.g massage, electrotherapy, heated therapy pool
