Probability

  • Probability of A or B happening P(AuB)=P(A) + P(B) - P(AnB)
  • Mutually Exclusive P(AuB)=P(A) + P(B) (as the two circles dont intersect)
  • Conditional Probablilty P(A/B)=P(AnB)
                                                   P(B)
  • P(A/B) = P(A) --> independent
  • Discrete random probability distribution is best illustrated by a vertical line chart.

    E(x) =       = Σ(values x probability)

    Var (x) =   = Σ(values² x probablily) - mean²
