Probability and significance

The usual level of significance in psychology is 0.05 or 5% - P ≤ 0.05. 

Level of significance is too lenient (0.10)

Accept alternative hypothesis - reject null when there is no relationship.

Reject alternative hypothesis and accept null hypothesis.

When there is no relationship.

Level of significance is too strict (0.01).
