International reaction

USA- condemned invasion but did not intervene as they didn't want USSR to intervene in Vietnam war.

Western Europe- condemned invasion but did not help. France+ Italy communist parties declared themselves seperate from the soviet party

Eastern Europe- caused discontent in Eastern Europe. Distanced themselves from USSR
