Velocity and Acceleration

Speed = Distance

Time

Acceleration = Change in Velocity

Time Taken

Distance/Time Graphs

(http://www.antonine-education.co.uk/Physics_AS/Module_2/Topic_1/Graph_2.gif)

  • A curve upwards = acceleration
  • A curve downwards = decceleration
  • Straight line diagonal going up = constant speed
  • Straight line diagonal going down = constant speed in other direction
  • Straight line = stopped

Velocity/Time Graph

(http://www.racemath.info/graphics/graphs/graph_vel.gif)

  • Diagonal line upwards = acceleration
  • Diagonal line downwards = deceleration
  • A curve upwards = increasing acceleration
  • Straight line = steady speed

I don't really understand what the point in this is... Quite good info, but pictures of the graph could be useful, and a bit less info on each card. Too much info to process per card! Good effort though!
