photosynthesis revision

During Phototynthesis, light energy is absorbed by the Chlorophyll in the Chloroplasts. This energy is then used to convert Carbon dioxide and water into simple glucose. 

the word equation for photosynthesis:

carbon dioxide + water (+light energy)-----> glucose + oxygen

you can use iodine to test for starch and to see if photosynthesis is present. Apply iodine onto the leaf and it will turn blue/black 

The photochemical stage involves the radiant energy supplied by sunlight and involves reactions called light dependant reactions. When a molecule of Chlorophyll absorbs light it uses the energy to boost electrons.
