  • Adapted to various sorts/situations
  • Body deals with lactic acid
  • Can train aerobically/anaerobically

Fartlek Training

  • Different speeds over different terrains
  • Means speed play
  • Suitable for aerobic/anaerobic fitness
  • Suits game players because in a game you don't have to go a certain speed
  • Walk, jog, run, sprint - different speeds

Circuit Training

  • Series of exercises completed in an allotted time (e.g. 30 seconds)
  • The exercises can be HRE (Health Related Exercise) or SRF (Skill Related Fitness
  • The circuit is made up of different stations or activities
  • Completed in groups or individually

Cross Training

  • Adaptable to a varitey of situations
  • Uses different parts of the body - this means that all parts of the body are given an opportunity to recover
  • Interesting - flexible
