Dynamics

Exposition

First subject starts piano but ends forte with strong repeated woodwind chords, before robust forte passage establishes new key in bridge passage.

Second subject starts piano and then a crescendo to forte climax, leading to piano before elaborate codetta brings section to an end, alternating between piano and forte and ending with a tutti forte climax before repeating back to beginning.

Development

Throughout the development the dynamics alternate between forte and piano sections, adding to the interest of the music and contrasting ideas.

Recapitulation

Again constant alternation between forte and piano passages giving great dynamic contrast throughought the section. Starts piano.

Coda

Mostly forte, but piano for a few bars before massive forte climax to end the movement.
