Mitosis

Mitosis(Growth, Repair & Asexual Reproduction)

Interphase - (Inbetween Divisions) > Prior to mitosis                    thin strands fo DNA in the cell nucleus                      thicken into chromosomes which then                      duplicate themselves.

Prophase - (Pair) > Centrioles divide, nuclear                                          membrane disentergrates,asters                              move to opposites (top and                                      bottom poles)

Metaphase - (Middle) > chromosomes centromeres attatch to the spindle fibres, line up at middle                                   of  the cell

Anaphase - (Apart/Away) > Centromeres split                                                   equally<

Metaphase - (Middle) > chromosomes centromeres attatch to the spindle fibres, line up at middle                                   of  the cell

Anaphase - (Apart/Away) > Centromeres split equally to each pole, cell membrane begins to                                                 pinch at the center

Telophase - (Two) > CYTOKYNESIS = 2 new cells are formed. nuclear membrane forms around                                 the seperated chromosomes.

Centromere = middle/centre of chromosome

Chromatid = bottom or top half of chromosome
