Minerals provide the frame of the human body and ar eneeded in small amounts.
Minerals are needed to maintain strong bones and transport oxygen.
Vitamins
Vitamins are required to maintan health and help prevent disease. We can get all the vitamins and minerals we need from the food we eat, and it is far more beneficial to absorb them this way.
Foods which are generally particularly good for providing a range of vitamins and minerals are fresh fruit and vegetables (especially when eaten raw or lightly cooked), wholegrains, nuts, seeds, dairy products, seafoods and organ meants (for example liver or kidneys).
