What is the menopause

The menopause is something that occurs in women in the middle adulthood stage (46-64). Even though everyone has them at different times many come in the late 40's and early 50's. The menopuase is the end of a womans reproductive life. She may have to come to terms with the fact that she can no longer have childern. The menopause can be a main event for some women, this would affect there development. Some will be pleased that they no longer have to worry about having childern, however others may feel a sence of loss.

Symptoms inculde:

  • UTI (water infections)
  • Night Sweats
  • Insomia (unable to sleep)
  • Periods stop
  • Increase in weight
  • Hot sweats
  • Discomfort during intercouse
  • Headaches
  • Mood swings - can lead to depression and anxiety
  • Irregular periods
  • Loss of libio (sexual drive)
