1. FROM

Find the word FROM in the question and put your pencil on the diagram at the point you are going FROM.

E.g. Find the bearing of A from B.

Therefore, you put your pencil on B.

2. NORTHLINE

At the point you are going FROM, draw in a northline.

In the previous example you would draw your northline on point B

3. CLOCKWISE

Now draw in the angle clockwise from the northline to the line joining the two points in the question. This angle is the required bearing.

REMEMBER - All bearings should be given as 3 figures

E.g. 176 degrees, 039 degrees, 003 degrees, 070 degrees etc.
