"This is our Island, it's a good Island. Until the grown-ups come to fetch us we'll have fun."- Again shows how innocent Ralph really is. 

"You're talking too much," said Jack Merridew. "Shut up fatty."- Jack being violent. It's one of the first things he says to Piggy. 

"Why should I be Jack? I'm Merridew." Ralph turned to him quickly. This was the voice of one who knew his own mind."- Jack challenges the elected authority and makes himself sound more authoritative by using his last name.

"I was going to," said Jack. He was ahead of them and they could see his face, "I was choosing a place. Next time-----!" He snatched his knife and slammed it into the tree trunk."
