When blocking light with glass, the position of it distorts.
The angles between are all a difference of only 5 degeees each. However, it is not always 5 degrees but more or less. This means the angle of Incidence is smaller than the angle of Reflection.
This shows lines bend toward the normal when entering a less dense medium. This is due to the light slowing down as it enters the perspex and then speeding it up again when leavng it.
White light would be very fast until it hits the prism, which slows it down. Therefor splitting it up into the colours it is made of:
