Tim Shortis

Tendency towards brevity: Refers to texts that require a quick response, so features, such as acronyms, letter homophones, emoticonsm and heavily abbreviated words.

The language used is short, and may include abbreviations, slang or elipsis to achieve this

E.g. text messages and emails
