DIFFERENTIATION STAGE (8 - midteens)
- Aware of differences between conventions of spoken and written language
- Begin to structure work using guides and framworks
- Understand there's different genres and purposes
- Punctuation, grammar and sentences become more complex, accurate and consistenct
INTEGRATION STAGE (mid teens +)
- Linguistic choices made accuratwely and consistently
- Develop personal voice when writing
- Understand style can change according to audience and purpose
