Information processing -information is processed, encoded, stored and retrieved in the brain in a linear way
Computer Analogy - computer has input, process and output. Brain is like a computer but can make mistakes and has more complex output e.g. body language
Memory - used to retain information and recall it when needed. Encoding, storing and retrieving information
Forgetting - unable to recall information from storage when it is needed
Storage - how memories are stored which means they remain as memories after they have been registered. How information is retained ready fro retrieval
Retrieval - how we retrieve memories when the informtaion is needed - retrieved from storage and recalled
