Competence

competence involves the skills learnt and how to apply them to physical activities and how you're ready to learn in body and mind to perform these skills in physical activities.

to be competent you need to:

  • have learnt the appropriate skills - e.g hockey - you need to learn how to stop and hit ball
  • know when to use slills - e.g basketball- know when to shoot
  • use appropriate tactics in activity - e.g football - know when to concentrate on attacking and when to defend
  • use ideas to link mkvements together - e.g - in gymnastics routine
  • fit enough to do activity - e.g -not get lut of breath in team game
  • right mental approach - e.g - exercise class show determination to finish
