Jesus sends out the twelve disciples

Jesus sends out the twelve disciples

  • Jesus went to the villages, teaching people.
  • He called the twelve disciples together and sent them out two by two, and gave them authority over the evil spirits.
  • He ordered them 'Don't take anything with you on your journey except a stick' -- no bread, beggar's bag, money in your pockets. wear sandals, but don't carry an extra shirt.
  • He also said 'where ever welcome, stay in that same house until you leave. if not welcomed, leave it and shake the dust off your feet. that will be a warning to them!'
  • The disciples went out and preached that people should turn away from their sins.
