Islam Beliefs

• Angels = spiritual beings, serve God, pass message through prophets 
• Jiibril = angle of revelation 
• Mika'il = ángel of mercy 

Role and Nature if Angles 

• pure, sinless
• spiritual beings created by God from light 
• serve and praise God
• take on Human form to give messages to people 
• no free will = only do what God wants 

messengers of God , take care of people through life, record everything a person does in 'book of deeds' and they send people's  souls to God after die = paradise/hell 

Jibril 

• Angel of Revelation 
• purified Muhammad's heart when he was a child = receive Gods revelation 
• recited Qur'an to Muhammad and Guido him though life through Gods message 
• important role in communicating final version of Islam. 

Mika'il 

• Angel of mercy 
• can send rain, thunder and lightning to Earth 
• brings nourishment, provides food by sending rain 
• rewards people who do good deeds 

• Idea that God knows/ determines everything that will happen 

Sunni - already determined what will happen 

• written down everything in 'book of decrees'
• people must act according to his will = creator 
• his will is powerful = make anything happen 
• humans can't change destin, but can choose how to behave 

"only what a God has decreed will happen to us" 

Shi'a - God knows everything that will happen 

• creator of time, outside so can't see in the past, present or future 
• knows what choices people will make, but still have free will to make their own 

"a God does not change the condition of a people unless they change what is in themselves"

Akhirah= everlasting life after death

Barzakh = 

• waiting for the Day of Judgement = barrier people can't come back to warn or right wrOMG 
• God sends angels to ? about faith 
• see reward or punishment after DoJ 

The Day of Judgement =

• world is destroyed as purpose has been fulfilled 
• everyone dead and alive = resurrected 
• given book of deeds and if in right hand = heaven, left = hell 

Heaven and Hell 

• heaven is those loyal to God = eternal happiness with God 
• hell = those who rejected God = separation from God
