Equality - being treated in the same way and not discriminated against. Eg Christians believe we are all equal as made in gods image

Acts 17:26 - 'and he made from one every nation of people.' God made everyone so everyone is equal
Galatians 3:28 - 'there is neither Jew nor Greek ... You are all one in Christ Jesus.' God made everyone.
Sanctity of life Doctrine - all human life is equal as it is all made in Gods image.

Uppekha - equality
Metta and Karuna - if all are treated equally then these are shown
Enlightens/Nirvana - can be reached by all humans because all are equal

1948 Universal Declaration of Human Rights - in its preamble it says 'unalienable rights of all members of the human family.'

Matthew 6:19 - 'Lay up for yourselves treasure in heaven.' Should focus on gaining spiritual wealth instead of material wealth

Luke 12:13-21- Parable of the Rich Fool. Gather spiritual wealth, not material

BUT lottery money can be shared and used to help the needy which follows:

Matthew 25 Parable of the Sheep and Goats (help the needy)

Material wealth is not as important as advancing towards Nirvana

The 'Middle Way' - you do not need great wealth

Tanha (craving) is the cause of suffering. Craving winning the lottery causes suffering

BUT by sharing lottery winnings:

Can show Metta and Karuna
