  • "As soon as i mentioned the name Dasiy Renton, it was obviuos that you'd known her. You gave yourself away at once."
  • "And then you decided to keep her - as your mistress?"

  • "Apologise for what - doing my job?"
  • "I know why she needed help. But as i wasn't there,, i don't know what she asked from your commitee."

  • "You're quite wrong to suppose i shall regret what i did."
