The Mouse was invented in 1964, and made from a wooden shell and 2 metal wheels. Its main use is for the GUI and enables the user to select programs. The 2 metal balls are described as X-Y position indicators for the display system. Today it continues to work the same with X and Y axes and detects the movement of the wheels.
Also, the mouse contains 3 buttons, which allows the user to click on components and control the GUI.
The mouse also enables the user to scroll through the pages they are on by using the mouse wheel. The wheel contains holes and a light is shone through it. On the other side there is a light sensor which detects if the light has gone through the holes.
