1) Over 1000 children and their families from 10 different locations are involved. The children and their families are assessed at regular intervals in order to establish the effects of various experiences such as day care on children's development.

2) When children were studied at age 5, it shows that the more time spent in day care, the more adults rated them as assertive and aggressive. The latest reports on the same children looked at them at the end of their primary education and there was still a link between day care experience and increased aggressiveness.
