Stages of recruitment

Identify job vacancy- This involves identifying that a job vacancy actually exists

Carry out job analysis- This involves looking at the tasks and duties that would be carried out as part of the job

Prepare a job description- The job description contains info about what the job involves: tasks, duties, responsibilities, pay, working hours etc

Prepare a person specification- The person specification contains info about the type of person required to do the job. Certain skills, qualifications and experience may be needed.

Advertise the job vacancy- the job vacancy is advertised within or outwith the business. 

Send out application forms- Application forms are sent out to people who are interested n applying for the job
