Regulating Water levels- Your kidneys balance the water level in your body:
- When the water level is too high your kidneys reabsorb less water and a large amount of dilute urine is produced
- When the water level is too low your kidneys reabsorb more water and a small amount of concentrated urine is produced.
The amount of water that needs to be reabsorbed into the blood plasma depends on:
- The External Temprature
- The Amount of excersise taken
- The fluid intake
When salt levels increase your body removes any excess salt by producing dilute urine. This means you need to intake more fluids to maintain a balance water level.Alcohol causes a large amount of dilute urine to be produced this can lead to dehydrartion.Ecstasy causes a small amount of concentrated urine to be produced
