Homeostasis

Homeostasis = Keeping the body's internal environment constant.

Amino acids cannot be stored in the body. What happens to excess amino acids:

  • Excess amino acids are broken down
  • They are made into urea in the liver
  • Kidneys filter urea out of the blood
  • Forms urine and stored in bladder
