Forms the border between - Italy & the neighbouring, France, Switzeland, Austria & Slovenia.

They move animals in different seasons (Transhumance)
Summer:
Cattle are taken to the high alp to graze, because they can't do crop farming.
Winter:
The animals are returned to the lower ground farm where they are kept in cattle sheds.

Skiing, easier to construct hotels & other attractions, steeper skii slopes.
Summer:
Large glacial lakes & Beautiful mountain scenery.

Glaciers melting creating fast flowing rivers through narrow valleys.
