GEOGRAPHY PAKISTAN

PAKISTAN, is on a COLLISION ZONE, in between the EURASIAN and INDIAN tectonic plates. This quake was also responsible for the birth of the Himalayan mountains. It cost £6.2million to reconstruct all that had been destroyed. Kashmir was affected and it affected Afghanistan, Bagh and Muzaffrabad. This paralysed the armed forces and hospitals were overflowing with a RECORD NUMBER OF CASUALTIES. Schools were used as refugee camps. AFTER the earthquake, the government had to spend money on effective buildings which could withstand another earthquake of the same magnitude. SINCE the earthquake 10 new emergency centres have been built
