1. Agrobacterium Tumefaciens is used as a vector.

2. Cut out the desired gene. 

3. Herbicide resistant gene is inserted into T i plasmid from the D N A. and put back into the Agrobacterium.

4. Infect the plant with bacteria.

5. Plant produces crown gall, containing the resistant gene.

6. Crown gall culture is used to grow new plants.
