Genetic Predisposition = inherited genes that determine physical growth, development, health and appearance.

There are 23 pairs of chromosomes in the human body.

Chromosomes are made of DNA.

A gene is a short section of DNA.

This can be inherited from one or both parents.

Doesn't mean that there is a certainty a person will develop the condition.

Some conditions have serious consequences for a child's growth and development.
