- Hierarchical form of Church Government

- Create Strong organisation
 - Provides Unity and strength

Roman Catholic Church:
- College of Bishops
- Irish Catholic's Bishops Conference

- No Hierarchy
- Each Church is regarded as EQUAL
- Self regulating
- Often belong to a network of other Churches
Emerged to:
- stress the 'Priesthood of all Believers'
- reflect the worship of the early church
Baptist Church:
- Association of Baptist Churches in Ireland
- Group of Elders/Congregation
