Carbohydrates- Are one of the main types of nutrients. They are the most important source of energy in your body. Your digestive system changes carbohydrates into glucose (blood sugar). Your body uses this sugar for energy for your cells, tissues and organs.

Nutrients- Are the components in food that an organism utilizes to survive and grow.Macronutrients provide the bulk energy for an organisms metabolic system to function, while micronutrients provide the necessary cofactors for metabolism to be carried out. Both types of nutrients can be acquired from the environment.
