1. find a pair of numbers that can be timesed together to give 24 but added together to give 10

2. then put in brackets

(x+6)(x+4)

to get your final answers you have to find the opposite of the numbers in the bracket

(x-6)(x-4)

1. 15 x 2 = 30

2. find common factors of 30 that add toegther to give 13 e.g. 10 and 3

3. put values back into equation

2x²+10x+3x+15

4. split in half and factorise

2x(x+5)    3(x+5)

5. first value is (2x+3)

quadratic formula: x= -b=+-√b²-4ac÷2a

2. then put the values be careful and remeber the + and -

a=4x²+7x+3=0

-7+-√7²-4x4x3÷2x4

2x-8y=-34

1. make x or y the same

6x-6y=6

6x-24y=-102

18y÷18= 102÷18

y=6

2. put y value in

3x-18=3

3x=21
