  • High degree of control
  • Possibility of replication
  • A high degree of control may lead to lack of realism
  • Demand characterstics increase because the participants may adjust their behaviour accordingly

Field Experiments

  • Ecologically valid because it takes place in a naturalistic setting
  • Demand characterstics are reduced
  • It cannot be generalized to many situations
  • High lack of control
