natural selection and evolution

Species that are within the same niche have to compete with eachother and better adapted species will survive due to the basis of natural selection.

Organisms are adapted in several ways: anatomical, behavioral and pysiological.

The process of natural selection is when the fitter individuals who are better adapted to the enviroment survivre and pass on the beneficial alleles to their future generations. Evolution is the frequency in which alleles within a gene pool change over time as a result of natural selection.

phenotypes exist in a population due to mutation, when an eviromental change ocurs the selection pressure changes so those with beneficial alleeles give them organisms a selective advantage to allow them to survive and repoduce. When they repproduce theesebenefical alleles are passed on to their offpsring and the frquency of alleles in the population changes
