- Walked upright and didn't use her hands to walk
Lucy
- 3.2 million years old
- Found in Ethiopia
- Arched feet, more adapted to walking than climbing. No ape-like big toe
- Arm and leg size is between that of human and apes
- Brain size is larger than Ardi's - similar to a chimp
- Leg bones and feet suggest she walked upright, but more efficiently than Ardi
Leaky's Findings (Turkana Boy - Homo erectus)
- 1.6 million years old
- Short arms and Legs are much more human
- Bain size much larger than Lucy's - similar to Humans
- Structure of legs and feet suggest he was even better adapted to walking upright than Lucy
