Architrave

  • Used to refer more generally to the style of moulding 
  • FRAMING the top of a DOOR, WINDOW or other rectangular opening where the horizontal head casing extends 
  • Usually plain or with a line

Frieze

  • Wide central section part entablature and may be plain in the ionic or doric order or decorative with bas-reliefs
  • Bas-reliefs are some sort of sculture or picture
  • Frieze can be plain, deocrated or with words

Cornice

  • Where the wall and ceiling meet
  • An ornamental moulding round the wall of a room just below the ceiling 
  • Also the upper most part of a pediment
