Words needed to know

Pathetic Fallacy - Presenting human emotions and feelings through inanimate objects in nature. For instance When someone is terribly upset, there may be a storm.

Juxtaposition - Placing something or someone, maybe some words, next to each other to outlind the contrast or to compare them.

Ambiguity - Where the meaning of something the poet has written is unclear, or could be interpreted in more than one way.

Paradox - An opinion or statement that totally contradicts itself.

Hyperbole - When something is majorly over exaggerated.

Oxymoron - When two contradicting words are placed next to one another, For instance: Pretty Ugly.

Colloquial - Words or phrses used in informal speech.
