Electric circuit

A battery charger passes a current of 2.0 A through a cell over a period of 2.5 hours.

How much charge is transfered to the cell?

Q = I x t = 2.0 x (2.5 x 60 x 60) = 18,000 C

Electricity

The greater th resistance across a component, the smaller the current that flows through it.

Charge (C) = Current (A) x Time (s)

Q = I x t

Electric current is the flow of electric charge round the circuit. Current will only flow around a complete circuit if there's a potential difference

Resistance

For some components, as the current through them is changed, the resistance of the component changes as well.

Potential difference (V) = current (A) x resistance (I)

V = I x R
